Ed Chew received his undergraduate degree with a First Class Honour in architecture from Deakin University, Australia. He is the principal of EDCHEW ARCHITECT, a Malaysian based architectural firm, which seeks to provide comprehensive architectural services to a broad range of clients on a variety of project types which includes architecture, interior and furniture design. Ed Chew has over 15 years of design and project leadership experience acquired across a broad range of project sectors whilst working as a Design and Project Architect at several well-established architectural firms in Malaysia.

Being a relatively small practice, EDCHEW Architect can offer clients a personal service and hands-on approach with the involvement of its principal at all stages of design and construction process.

Having previously worked on large projects, he has now turned his interest to smaller projects, experimenting and exploring new modes of design and construction process.

Ed Chew is better known for the creation of TetraLamp for which he has won an international award in 2011. Ed Chew divides his time between practice and teaching Architectural Design Studio at Taylor’s University. Ed Chew enjoys painting, sketching and carpentry work in his spare time.
